About the Opportunity
Based in Darwin, NT, the Production Manager is accountable for ensuring Supervisors and Contractors are provided with and understand a clear plan to deliver on their responsibilities.
The Production Manager is required to work collaboratively with the Supervisors to allow them to provide deliverables on time, in full, to standard, all in a secure working environment.
To achieve this, the Production Manager needs to be a supportive and visual leader enabling their teams to reach their full potential.

What's Involved
Review planning deliverables - Schedule/Resource Plan
Liase and agree with client to determine priorities and acceptable durations required
Report project progress to stakeholders
Manage growth and delivery within scheduled service visits
Resource balancing - relative to schedule
Ensure timely placement of inter-departmental work orders/requisitions
Supervisor influence/impact on team - provide constructive feedback on performance
Parts and material flow in accordance with schedule
Issue/risk/constraint management effectiveness
Product conformance prior to customer check - work complete in full to standard
Promote and drive a culture of continual improvement (share successes) and actively eliminate waste.
Coach/mentor supervisors and trade team
Supports supervisors to train and develop workers
Report any HSEQ related items to internal & external stakeholders
Actively engage with client and act on feedback
You'll Need
Essential
Relevant or aligned Trade Qualification
3 years as a supervisor (minimum)
Excellent influencing and negotiating skills
Eligibility for a Defence Security Clearance and a Defence Common Access Card (DCAC).
Desirable
Front line management course
Senior First Aid Certificate
Possess practical leadership skills, e.g. strong interpersonal skills, people management and communication skills
Strong time management, resource planning and scheduling skills.
Proven experience meeting deadlines
Proven related technical skills
Management of cost controls
Proficient in MS Office suite including Word and Excel
Thorough knowledge of and proven implementation of organisational policies, business standards, procedures/work instructions and guidelines, including, but not restricted to HSEQ and HR
