Band 3A - $***** per hour, plus 25% casual loading and applicable penalty rates
(excl. super).

About the Role

This is a customer-focused role where you'll help create positive camping experiences while supporting the safe and sustainable operation of our foreshore camping areas.
Working as part of a dedicated team, you'll assist with camper enquiries and bookings, promote responsible camping practices, and help ensure our campgrounds remain welcoming, compliant and enjoyable for all visitors.
Reporting to the Coordinator – Foreshore Camping the core responsibilities include:
Customer Service:
Deliver friendly, professional and responsive customer service, assisting campers with enquiries, bookings and administrative requests to create positive visitor experiences.
Compliance and Safety:
Monitor and encourage compliance with the Conditions of Camping, site rules and safety requirements, taking a proactive approach to maintaining a safe and respectful camping environment.
Administration and Technology:
Accurately manage bookings, records, payments and customer information using booking systems and Council software, demonstrating strong computer literacy and attention to detail.
About You
To succeed in this role,
we will be looking for existing capabilities in the below core areas.
Education & Experience –
Demonstrated experience in customer service, visitor services, tourism, hospitality, camping operations, compliance, or a similar customer-facing environment.
Experience in reception, bookings, reservations, cash handling and administrative functions is highly regarded.
Written & Oral Communication –
Well-developed verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a diverse range of people, provide clear information, manage enquiries and complaints, and maintain accurate records and reports.
