About this Position:
As a Lifeguard, you will play an important role in creating a safe, welcoming and enjoyable environment for patrons at the Goonellabah Sports & Aquatic Centre and Lismore Memorial Baths.
Working across both facilities, you will be responsible for monitoring pool activities, promoting safe patron behaviour and responding effectively to incidents and emergencies.
In addition to maintaining a safe aquatic workplace, you will contribute to the day-to-day presentation and operation of the facilities by assisting with cleaning, maintenance and customer service activities.
This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about aquatics, enjoys working with the community and is committed to delivering a high standard of service and safety.

What you will need to be successful:
First Aid Certificate
Royal Life Pool Lifeguard Certificate
Working With Children Check
Drivers Licence
Royal Life Pool Bronze Medallion (Desirable)

22 Hours per week – Contract ending 21 May ****.
Salary:
A salary range from $******* - $******* per hour + superannuation

Conditions of Employment:
Conditions of employment are in the Local Government (State) Award and relevant Council policy, procedures and agreements
OR
Conditions of employment are in the Lismore City Council Goonellabah Sports and Aquatic Centre and Lismore Memorial Baths Enterprise Agreement **** (Agreement), and relevant Council policy, procedures and agreements.
Pre-employment Screening:
Prior to employment, there will be a series of pre-employment checks that may/will include health assessments (such as functional fitness, audio, chest x-ray, spirometry, drug testing), validation of right to work in Australia, validation of qualifications and licences, criminal history checks, psychometric assessments and referee checks.
Working with Children Check:
In accordance with the requirement for 'Working with Children' anyone starting a new, paid job in child-related work must apply for the Working with Children Check (WWCC).
This is a requirement for this position and it is the responsibility of the successful applicant to have undertaken the WWCC and the 'Clearance to Work with Children' provided to Council prior to commencement.
