About the role
We are seeking an
Exercise Physiologist & Strength & Conditioning Coach
to join our dynamic team in Perth, WA on a
part-time hybrid basis
.
This role offers a unique opportunity to combine your expertise in exercise physiology with strength and conditioning coaching, working with clients ranging from rehabilitation and general fitness to athletic performance enhancement.
You will split your time between our facility in Perth CBD *****) and remote consultations, allowing you flexibility whilst maintaining a strong presence with our clients.
This hybrid arrangement enables you to deliver both in-person programming and remote coaching support, maximising your impact and work-life balance.
Key responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive fitness assessments and exercise physiological evaluations to develop individualised training programmes
Design and implement evidence-based strength and conditioning protocols tailored to client goals, fitness levels and rehabilitation needs
Provide expert coaching and technique instruction across a range of resistance training modalities and functional fitness exercises
Monitor client progress through regular assessments, testing and performance tracking, adjusting programmes accordingly
Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, physiotherapists and medical practitioners regarding client rehabilitation and health outcomes
Deliver both in-person and remote coaching sessions, ensuring consistency and quality across all delivery formats
Maintain detailed client records, progress notes and training documentation in compliance with industry standards
Educate clients on exercise technique, programme adherence, nutrition principles and lifestyle factors that support their fitness objectives
Stay current with evidence-based practice in exercise physiology and strength conditioning, continuously developing professional knowledge
Contribute to a positive, supportive facility environment that promotes client engagement and retention
What we're looking for
Recognised qualification in Exercise Physiology (Bachelor's degree or higher) from an accredited Australian institution
Current accreditation with ESSA (Exercise & Sports Science Australia) or equivalent professional body
Demonstrated experience as a Strength & Conditioning Coach, ideally with experience across diverse populations (general fitness, rehabilitation, athletic performance)
Strong knowledge of anatomy, biomechanics and exercise prescription principles
Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly to clients of varying fitness backgrounds
Proficiency in programme design software and familiarity with fitness tracking and assessment tools
Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively within a team environment
Current First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
Professional liability insurance or willingness to obtain through our facility
Experience with remote coaching delivery and digital communication platforms is highly desirable
Passion for client-centred care and continuous professional development
