We are seeking an
Apprentice Trailer Mechanic
to join our team in
Wingfield
.
This is a fantastic opportunity to start your career in the heavy vehicle industry.
You'll gain hands-on experience working with a diverse fleet of trailers and transport equipment, while learning from experienced mechanics in a supportive team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with servicing, inspections, and repairs on trailers and transport equipment
Learn how to maintain braking, suspension, axle, and air systems
Support trailer wiring and lighting repairs
Help replace and maintain parts in line with safety standards
Work alongside experienced mechanics to ensure trailers are safe and roadworthy
Build your skills in fault finding and workshop practices
Skills and Experience:
Robust interest in mechanics or the heavy vehicle industry
Willingness to learn and complete (or commence) an apprenticeship in Certificate III Heavy Commercial Trailer Technology (AUR*****)
Successfully completed a minimum of Year 10 or equivalent
Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Positive attitude and strong work ethic
Good communication skills
Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions
Commitment to safety and quality standards
Current C Class Driver's Licence
Unrestricted Australian work rights
Prior automotive or mechanical experience (desirable, not essential)
