We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our finance team.
This role supports the day-to-day financial management of the organisation, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and sound financial governance across multiple entities.
You'll work closely with the Chief Financial Officer and collaborate with staff, students, agents, and senior management across the business.
This is a great opportunity for someone with a solid grounding in accounting practices who is eager to build their reporting, analytical, and compliance skills in a energetic, multi-entity environment.Key responsibilitiesAssist with the preparation of annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and cash flow projectionsManage multi-entity transactions and report on financial risksEnsure the accuracy, completeness,
and compliance of financial reports with procedural standardsUpdate and create accounting policies relevant to the businessPrepare financial reports for CFO review and approvalPrepare statutory reports and statements for government bodies (ATO, ASIC, ASQA, NEAS) as requiredMaintain internal control systems, including Xero, PRISMS, Axcelerate, and MESHEDPrepare end-of-month, quarter, and year accounts receivable reportingPrepare tax lodgements for CFO reviewMaintain the Fixed Asset RegisterAbout youWorking knowledge of accounting practices and compliance requirementsStrong reporting and analytical skillsExperience with accounting/finance software (e.g. Xero) highly regardedExcellent attention to detail and accuracyStrong communication skills, with the ability to liaise across a range of stakeholdersAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet reporting deadlines
