We are looking for an experienced Metal Fabricator / Welder to join our business in a new full-time position.This is not a repetitive production welding role.We operate established demolition and construction businesses and are expanding our in-house fabrication capabilities to support several new products and projects.The successful applicant will work across a wide variety of fabrication including:Prototype and production fabrication of modular podsFabrication of steel locker systemsSteel chassis and structural framesModular building frames and componentsHook-lift bin repairs and modificationsTruck and tipper body repairsPlant and equipment repairsCages, stillages and custom steelworkGeneral fabrication for our construction and demolition operationsWho We're Looking ForWe're looking for someone who is more than just a good welder.You should be an experienced fabricator who can look at a concept, sketch or prototype and work out a practical and cost-effective way to build it.We want someone who enjoys problem solving and can contribute ideas to improve designs, reduce fabrication time, simplify construction and make products easier to manufacture repeatedly.Ideally you will have experience with:MIG weldingRHS, SHS and structural steelSteel mesh and sheet fabricationCutting, drilling and fabrication equipmentBuilding and using fabrication jigsReading drawings and working from dimensionsPrototype and one-off fabricationRepair and modification of existing steelworkAccurate measuring,
