Flexi schools serve young people who experience complex educational, social or psychological situations which demand unique responses.
They enable young people to engage in education in a supported learning setting through a methodology based on trauma informed practice, to co-create a Common Ground using Operation by Principles, in which the principles of Honesty, Respect, Participation, Safe & Legal are embedded.
Our special schools serve young people with mild to moderate intellectual disabilities.Townsville Flexible School a full-time and multiyear secondary education program for young people who have disengaged from mainstream schooling.
Flexible Schools respond with a variety of flexible and innovative teaching and learning practices, including vocational planning and the development of social connectedness.ABOUT THE ROLEThe Teacher reports to the Head of Campus and Area Principal.
They have delegated responsibility to develop and maintain learning and social inclusion responses of the campus.
This includes:Planning, preparation and delivery of effective learning and teaching programs for young people.Contributing to the development and implementation of the EREAFS objectives and planning.Works collaboratively with all staff to provide a safe,
