About the role

The Gold Coast Private hospital is currently seeking professional and customer focused Food Service Assistants to join our dynamic team on a casual basis.

You will take pride in your work, have a friendly and positive work attitude and an interest to achieve high standards of customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities will include:

Provide exceptional customer/patient service by preparing and serving food throughout the facility / designated area, including, setting up, plating, and distributing food and beverages and by participating in food safety processes.

Assist in general cleaning of kitchen equipment and utensils including dish and pot washing as required.

Act as a valued member of an interdisciplinary team by promoting a professional and positive team culture, communicating and offering help to team members and liaising with other staff to create an experience that makes a difference.

Demonstrate professional practice by working according to Healthscope's policies and processes, code of conduct and by participating in yearly performance appraisals and mandatory education.



Maintain skills and standards of customer service and ensure patient confidentiality and privacy are maintained at all times.

Essential Criteria:

Have enthusiasm, drive and passion to prepare healthy in trend meals to the highest standard of excellence

Time management skills

Good communication and customer service skills

Attention to detail

TAFE/ Certificate - Diploma level qualification in Catering, Retail or related discipline (or working towards same)
