As an Administration Officer in Medical Records your responsibilities will include:
Assistance with Medical legal requests and Subpoena responses
Medical record preparation and retrieval within strict deadlines
Provision of health information to internal and external clients
Filing and preparation of medical records and loose sheets
Day to day functionality of the Health Information Service Department
Participating in performance improvement activities
Culling of medical records
Answering phone call enquires for patient information
Essential Criteria:
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Ability to work autonomously and as a team member in a small team environment
Ability to plan and work within deadlines
Attention to detail
Knowledge of Microsoft Office and General Computer literacy
Compliance with NSW Health Policy Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination Against Specified Infectious Diseases as a Category A Staff
Desirable Criteria:
Previous experience within a Medical Records environment or dealing with confidential records
Experience with the WebPAS patient information system
Knowledge of basic medical terminology
