About The Role
Due to growth in our business, we are seeking a highly energised Payroll wizard to join our Brisbane payroll team. You will be responsible for:
- Processing end-to-end payroll function for Stellar, including monthly internal payroll, weekly contractor payroll.
- Support the administration of the payroll data to ensure our processes are correct, the data tables are maintained, and the data reconciles on a rolling YTD basis
- Assist in the preparation of employee terminations and ad hoc manual payments.
- Ensure all pay-runs are prepared with accuracy, all backup information is saved, and all required reports are produced and saved
- Support the preparation and processing of payroll month end, ensuring payroll data reconciles YTD
- Analyse payroll data including wages, salaries and bonuses and commission payments.
- Analyse superannuation payments made to clearing house are in line with payroll processing.
- Attend to returned super ensuring it is repaid in a timely manner.
- Support preparation and processing payroll creditors including but not limited to PAYG,
- Superannuation and Child Support
- Conduct regular audits on payroll procedures and records.
- Support the Payroll Team Leader in documenting processes.
- Assist the Financial Accountants in reconciling all payroll related GL accounts each month
- Assist in reconciling and execution of payroll year end within the required timeframes
About You
Role
With previous payroll experience, you will have the capability to bring the following to the role
You thrive in a fast-paced environment, are naturally organised and relentless in pursuing a positive end result for our customers.
- 3 to 5 years experience
- Focus on high volume processing - ideally
- Demonstrates a broad understanding of all areas of the finance process
- Demonstrates a high level of understanding in the payroll area
- Conducts financial and payroll analysis and reporting under instruction from senior manager
- Reviews the payroll function to identify anomalies and trends
- Provides support and advise to all company staff in relation to improving the payroll function
- Demonstrates expertise in calculation and processing of company commission and bonus structure
- Demonstrates expertise in the use of company financial management software
- Demonstrates a strong level of taxation, compliance, and regulatory competence
