Procurement Manager
Full time
$90,000 to $100,000 + Super per year
We are looking for a candidate with exceptional strategic procurement experience and collaborating skills to join our company.
The primary role of a Procurement Manager is to be responsible for all strategic procurement and activities relating to raw material procurement and supplier relationship. This role will be based in our head office in Canning Vale.
Responsibilities
- Establish and manage key supplier relationships covering both strategic and operational procurement, inventory management, quality assurance and delivery of strategic category raw materials.
- Oversee procurement of raw material and related expenditures throughout the Company.
- Drive high performance and achieve both qualitative and quantitative targets in the execution of strategic sourcing projects.
- Keep abreast of new developments / innovations in the food services industry.
- Actively participate in process design and value add activities.
- Build strong supplier relationships and tightly monitor their performance in terms of delivering on time, in full and in quality through a robust Supplier Relationship Management framework.
- Negotiate, evaluate and manage all supply contracts and agreements.
- Compare available goods within industry trends to determine appropriate pricing.
- Control spend and build a culture of long-term saving on procurement costs.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and improve workings between Procurement and other teams.
- Liaise with Sales/Marketing team to source new suppliers for product/category development.
- Provide market and financial insights and input to the internal financial planning and review processes.
- Create ongoing data analysis & category reviews to drive performance strategically within your category and achieve ambitious targets.
- Comply with policies, systems & controls identifying risks and opportunities.
The Successful Applicant
The successful applicant should have:
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- 5+ years of procurement, supply chain or purchasing experience in raw material, of which 2+ years in strategic sourcing.
- Food industry experience is essential.
- Strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
- Excellent quantitative and analytical experience, including solid comfort with Excel.
- Proactive, ambitious, and assertive: you take ownership of your work.
- Entrepreneurial and can make things happen.
- Ability to work collaboratively and cooperatively in a team environment.
