Hays Technology are currently partnered with a valued client in the Equipment, Systems, and Digital Solutions place to find multiple Software/Firmware Engineers

A global organisation, positions are to be on a permanent basis with onboarding to be in early 2023

With an office space in Eagle Farm, roles come under hybrid working conditions and offer approx. 3 days WFH per week

Your new role
In your new role, you will design and develop software & firmware for a variety of products, including services on embedded platforms. You will utilise domain experience or expertise to solve problems, develop, and execute objectives for yourself and others, supporting both short-term and long-term business goals

In addition to this, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

- Working with customers (both internal and external) to create use cases and derive/document requirements Working closely with the broader engineering team to create optimum hardware/firmware solutions for PC and embedded products




- Performing software and system decomposition and design, defining interfaces and test cases
- Programming in C++, C, on multi-threaded, multi-process applications, components, and interfaces
- Reporting into the Software Team Lead to ensure developments meet the requirement specifications
- Providing technical mentoring for Junior Software Engineers

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in attaining this role, you will have:

- Experience within embedded Linux Experience with QT framework
- Expertise in C++, C
- Programming Experience working in networking and industrial Ethernet-based communication protocols
- High-level communication and collaboration skills

What you'll get in return
In this role you will receive an annual salary of up to $160,000 + Superannuation, WFH flexibility and the opportunity to join a successful, existing Development/Firmware Team

There is also a yearly bonus available for all permanent employees
