About the Role:

Our Melbourne Branch is looking for a Service Supervisor to lead their dynamic and driven Service team to provide exceptional customer service and support. Working collaboratively with our Service Technician's, Service Manager and wider business, you will play a key link between our business and our valued customers and ensure the smooth and efficient day to day operations of our Service Department.

The key responsibilities of this role will include but not limited to:

- Assign jobs and work areas to Service Technicians according to their skills and knowledge.




- Supervisory responsibilities such as managing performance, absence and gaps in Technician skill set.
- Proactively seek customer feedback, anticipate problems and respond promptly.
- Respond and follow up on employee issues and concerns.
- Review all repair work orders for accuracy and completeness concerning parts, materials and labor, and approve the release of equipment for delivery to the customer.
- Work with the Service Manager or Supervisor in all aspects of the Service Department in fulfilling the responsibilities of the Service Manager (may fill the Service Manager's role in their absence).
- Meet with Service Manager on a regular basis to review Department performance profitability, efficiencies, and personnel matters.

You will bring the following skills and experience to the role:

- Relevant Trade Certificate - Heavy Diesel Fitter/ Mobile Plant Mechanic/ Diesel Mechanic or Equivalent.
- Experience in the service and maintenance of heavy diesel products, including engine overhauls and major repairs including solid electrical, hydraulic and diagnostic.
- Strong supervisory/management experience with the ability to lead, mentor and develop your team.
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of the design & function of John Deere and Vermeer equipment will be highly regarded.
- A current and valid driver's licence.
- Strong customer service focus and dedicated work ethic.
- A mature attitude and logical and methodical approach to your work.
