The Role

The exciting opportunity has become available for a driven individual to join our successful Service Department.

Located in Scoresby, the primary purpose of the Service Technician role is to provide technical after-sales support to WEG staff, distributors and customers on the application,

use, installation, commissioning, and set-up of WEG Products.

Reporting to the National Service Manager, your responsibilities will include:

- assisting with the investigation, analysis, documentation, and reporting (via the relevant sales channel), including the administration function of any warranty,



service claims or replacements for WAA product.
- assisting with spare parts quotations including parts interpretation, parts sourcing, creation of offer and hand over to sales team.
- onsite field services including commissioning, start-up, and troubleshooting.
- provide technical services to clients relating to use, application, operation, commissioning, repair, and maintenance of WEG’s rotating and static machines.
- provide commissioning services when required, in various locations (locally, interstate, and internationally) if and as deemed necessary by Management.
- liaise with the WEG factory on technical matters concerning the use, quality, start-up and troubleshooting of WEG’s rotating and static machines.

You

To be successful in this role you will possess an enthusiastic can-do attitude, motivation to succeed and thrive in a small team environment. Additionally, you will demonstrate the following skills:

- electrician License OR Engineering Degree

- a sound business acumen

- 2 years related experience with drives and soft starters
- knowledge of relevant IEC and AS standards
- computer applications and database use
- construction Induction (White Card) or similar
- analysis and interpretation
