Together we Make the Difference How this position will Make the Difference to City of Melbourne… The Creative Spaces Administrator delivers the day to day administration for the Creative Spaces program and Creative City branch as required. The role is responsible in particular for the engagement process with artists for venues and the licensing process ensuring that all terms and obligations of the licences and leases are met. The Creative Spaces Administrator regularly liaises with Council’s Property and Finance teams when licensing Council property, or to monitor rental payments. Working with the creative sector, they are also responsible for ensuring licensees enquiries and issues are addressed in a timely and professional manner. The Administrator is also responsible for managing Creative Spaces’ exhibition and residency programs. The Administrator completes all activities in a professional, efficient, confidential and courteous manner within a continuous improvement and service excellence environment.

- Ability to demonstrate and display City of Melbourne Values – accountability, integrity, courage, respect for self and others, and striving for excellence.
- Demonstrated experience in a business support delivery function within the creative sector, with the ability to anticipate support needs within a fast-paced, high volume and multi-faceted business environment.
- Highly developed interpersonal, customer service & communication skills, with the ability to communicate with all levels of the organisation and be professional, diplomatic, assertive, discrete and courteous.
- Excellent administrative skills including the ability to manage spreadsheets, schedules and records in accordance with established policies and procedures and review and prepare documents to a high standard.
- Ability to develop, implement and maintain sound systems and processes to drive efficiency across administrative functions whilst leading and educating others within a continuous improvement environment.




- Proven proficiency and experience in successfully using and adapting to a wide range of software systems for finance, analysis, reporting, presentations and other purposes as required.
- Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively, whilst supporting productive relationships.
- Demonstrated experience with and understanding of contract management.

There is scope to advance candidates that do not hold the full experience in the above areas as some skills can be taught in the role.
