Our client is seeking a Compliance Officer to ensure that three Aboriginal community controlled RTOs adhere to a range of compliance, legislative, and regulatory requirements.
Role Requirements:
- Develop and implement comprehensive compliance systems and documentation frameworks.
- Conduct regular internal audits and assessments to ensure compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements.
- Analyse compliance data and trends to identify areas for improvement and recommend strategies.
- Provide guidance and support to RTO staff on compliance-related matters, including training sessions and workshops.
- Stay informed of any regulatory and legislative requirements, including the new Standards for RTOs, and ensure the compliance of each RTO under those new requirements.
- Collaborate with each RTO to work where needed to develop culturally appropriate training and assessment resources for Aboriginal learners.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders.
- Act as a primary point of contact for compliance-related inquiries and requests from internal and external stakeholders.
Skills & Knowledge:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders.
- Excellent organisational abilities to coordinate multiple projects, manage resources, and meet deadlines.
- Cultural competency and sensitivity to understand and respect diverse cultural backgrounds and perspectives.
- Proficiency in program development and delivery.
- Analytical skills to evaluate program effectiveness and make data-driven decisions for continuous improvement.
- Experience with working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
Qualifications & Training:
- (Essential) Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
- (Desirable) Degree in Education or other qualifications such as Diploma in Vocational Education and Training will be considered.
- (Essential) Current DHS Working with Children Check (or prepared to obtain).
- (Essential) Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education and Care (or prepared to obtain).
- (Essential) Driver's License.
