Boarding House Weekend Co-ordinator - Permanent Part-time Contract

We are a Uniting Church school catering for approximately 1000 day and boarding students from Pre-Kindergarten to Year 12. Our campus is located in the leafy suburb of Peppermint Grove, situated between the ocean and the river.

Permanent Contract, part-time (19 hours per week, 0.5 FTE)
- Fridays 3.00pm – 11.00pm to Saturday 7.00am – 9.00am (includes overnight and a half hour break)
- Saturday 5.00pm – 11.00pm to Sunday 7.00am – 11.00am (includes overnight and half hour break)

PLC seeks to appoint a caring, dedicated, experienced and organised individual to join our Boarding House as a Weekend Co-ordinator. This role is closely involved in the running of the Boarding House on the weekend and ensures all processes and procedures are carried out effectively and in a timely manner, as well as supporting the needs of our Boarders.
Candidates must have the ability to provide exceptional pastoral care, excellent organizational and communication skills and show genuine interest and compassion to our Boarders. This position requires the incumbent to work rostered shifts over Friday, Saturday and Sunday and be versatile and available to meet the needs of the Boarding House on weekends. Experience working in a Boarding House environment or qualified teachers will be viewed favourably.
PLC will provide accommodation when the role requires a sleepover, and meals when the staff member’s roster coincides with a meal.
Applicants for Boarding House roles must have a current WA Drivers’ License, a Working with Children Check, Provide First Aid Certificate and a National Police Certificate. In addition, the successful candidate will hold or be willing to obtain a Bronze Medallion.
