Position Summary

Austin Health is the major provider of tertiary health services, health professional education and research across 3 campuses in the northeast of Melbourne and state-wide. Austin Health is world-renowned for its research and specialist work in cancer, liver transplantation, spinal cord injuries, neurology, endocrinology, mental health and rehabilitation.

An exciting opportunity currently exists for an enthusiastic and highly experienced Clinical Nurse Educator to join our Clinical Nursing Education team working across the Recovery Units, Division of Surgery, Anaesthetics and Procedural Medicine.This is a fixed-term part-time position.

Clinical Nursing Education provides Austin Health with contemporary, evidence-based clinical education programs which are congruent with Organisational strategic plans and needs. Clinical Nurse Education is delivered by the Nursing Education team, predominantly through an inter-professional,



collaborative and person-centred approach which encompasses all available and appropriate teaching and learning methodologies.

Essential for Performance in the Position

• A commitment to Austin Health values.
• Registered Nurse, registered with AHPRA

• Education experience
• Relevant postgraduate qualification

• Experience in Recovery nursing

Desirable but not essential for Performance in the Position

• Post graduate Qualification (highly preferred) relevant to specialty or working toward the same
• A sound understanding of information technology
