Who are we?

Alpha Early Learning Centre is a childcare centre in Richmond operated by PRONIA and licenced to 55 children a day. The centre provides a bilingual and multicultural program and draws children from the surrounding municipalities and throughout the Metropolitan area. Our philosophy is to deliver an inclusive program, promoting and celebrating diversity. Our educators are dedicated to the overall physical, emotional, social and intellectual growth and development of young children attending the centre and are committed to preparing them for their future life in a changing multicultural and diverse society.

What you will be doing

We are looking for an Early Childhood Educator for our Alpha ELC based in Richmond, on a full-time or part time basis, doing morning and afternoon shifts on a rotating weekly roster.

Responsibilities

- Assisting in the preparation, implementation and evaluation of developmentally appropriate programs supporting children.
- Ensuring the maintenance of a healthy, safe and stimulating environment.




- Contributing positively to the development of child’s independence and self-esteem.
- Recording observations of the children for program planning purposes.
- Undertaking and implementing the requirements of quality assurance.

The ideal candidate will have:

- Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care, or an higher/equivalent qualification
- Current First Aid & CPR in an education and care setting (HLTAID012)
- Proficiency in computer use
- Excellent written and oral skills in English is a requirement. A second language is recommended
- Clear National Criminal History Record Check
- Working with Children Check
- In accordance with Alpha ELC and PRONIA policy, applicants must have a minimum 2 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine, or have a valid medical exemption certificate.
