We are looking for a friendly, motivated and highly organized Early Childhood teacher.
Commencing Term 1 2025
In this position you will be expected to lead a team which provides high quality early childhood education and care to children, including:
- Developing positive, comforting and nurturing relationships with children at the service.
- Developing positive and respectful relationships that support and partner with families and the community.
- Implementing the policies and associated procedures of the organization at all times.
- Working with other staff towards continuous improvement in all areas of the services operations.
Essential Criteria
- Degree in Early Childhood Education
- Approved Child Protection Qualification
- Demonstrated working knowledge of programming/observing children/EYLF
- Explicit Working with Children Check
- Current First Aid Certificate
- Anaphylaxis and Asthma Management training
- Ability to lead a room team
Responsibilities include:
- Lead the implementation of a play-based learning environment responsive to children's interest, strengths and abilities
- Lead the planning, development, implementation, evaluation and reflection of programs which reflect the Early Years Learning Framework and the emerging skills and interests of children
- Engage in critical reflection and evaluation of children's learning
- Ensure children's individual needs and wellbeing are supported
- Lead and contribute to the development of an environment that is safe and fosters curiosity, exploration and problem solving
- Be involved in the development of, and assist to implement the service's Quality Improvement Plan
