Full Job Description
Our Client is a leading not-for-profit Group Training Organisation (GTO), specializing in Mentored Apprenticeship Programs. With offices across major Australian cities, they employ over 1000 apprentices and trainees in partnership with more than 350 employers nationwide. Their dedication to innovation in training has twice earned them the prestigious Australian Apprenticeship – Employer Award.
The Field Officer, will mentor apprentices and trainees, and also foster existing and new relationships with employers, training partners, and other stakeholders. This role is pivotal in mentoring and helping apprentices and trainees, expanding business, increasing market exposure, and ensuring training alignment with industry needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Mentoring: Provide comprehensive support and coaching to apprentices and trainees, manage performance, and ensure compliance with safety and training standards. Provide guidance on workplace expectations, communication, and problem-solving
- Foster strong relationships with apprentices, employers, and training organisations
- Assist apprentices in setting career goals, tracking progress,
and identifying skills gaps and collaborate with employers to ensure the apprentice's training and workplace needs are met
- Marketing and Strategic Communications: Generate and share success stories, engage with media, and represent our organisation at online and in-person events.
- Maintain accurate records of apprentice progress, feedback, and assessments
What will help you in this role?
- Exposure to sectors like horticulture, engineering, IT, automotive, or construction.
- Strong track record in achieving KPIs and excellent communication skills.
- Experience in mentoring, coaching or supporting and managing diverse groups.
- Valid Working with Children and Police Checks, or willingness to obtain.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and be open to regional and interstate travel.
