Grade 3 Physiotherapist Cardiorespiratory

- Full Time Permanent, Part Time Permanent, 0.6-0.8EFT will also be considered
- Commencing January 2023
- Provide clinical and team leadership, physiotherapy service, clinical supervision and education of junior physiotherapists and students
- Contribute to the physiotherapy department service development and research plan

The Royal Melbourne Hospital (RMH) Physiotherapy service is made up of over 100 staff providing services across the City Campus in Parkville and the Royal Park Campus. We have an exciting opportunity for a permanent Grade 3 clinical and team leader Cardiorespiratory Physiotherapist role in our Physiotherapy service.

This Grade 3 Cardiorespiratory position is based at the City Campus and will contribute to effective team leadership, ensure strong clinical governance, provide clinical expertise and excellent patient care across specialised and general Cardiorespiratory services.

The position will provide the successful applicant opportunities to work in an established team of experienced clinicians supported by a Grade 4 Physiotherapist. Clinical caseload will be negotiated with the successful candidate. The role involves the supervision and education of junior Physiotherapists and will be a member of our supportive team of Senior Clinicians. You will be expected to contribute to the service development and research portfolio within the team.

Your new role:

- Provide clinical excellence across RMH City cardiorespiratory services including ICU, Critical care and General Medicine services.
- Foster positive team and workplace culture.
- Demonstrate a multidisciplinary health care approach that achieves desired patient outcomes.
- Initiate and drive a coordinated team approach to patient care.
- Provide strategic and operational leadership of the physiotherapy service across acute ward services to ensure evidence based best practice and contemporary models of care.

- You have clinical expertise across the spectrum of cardiorespiratory patient management.
- You demonstrate excellent interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills.
- You have experience and skills working autonomously in the community.
- You are an influential leader with a track record of driving change within a complex health care environment.
- You have the ability to develop and advance the physiotherapy service.
