Overview
The Government recognises the importance of enabling evidence-based policy, research and data analysis through using administrative data collected across multiple organisations.
The Clerical Review Officer is responsible for supporting the provision of quality linked data through reviewing probable links, quality assurance, data extraction and geocoding tasks as required. The position supports the delivery of the technically complex linkage for data to support policy and program evaluation, analysis and research studies that meet the State, Territory and Commonwealth Government policies, procedures, and legislative requirements
The Data Linkage Unit is located within the Commissioning and Performance Division of the Department for Health and Wellbeing to undertake the development, implementation and maintenance of a data linkage system in South Australia and the Northern Territory. This role is outposted to the Data Linkage Unit in SA NT DataLink at the South Australian Health and Medical Research Institute (SAHMRI).
The Department for Health and Wellbeing are the lead South Australian Government Department in the SA NT Data Linkage Consortium which includes the following members:
- the Department for Health and Wellbeing (SA Health),
- the Northern Territory Government, lead through the NT Department of Health,
- SA Department of Education,
- University of South Australia,
- Adelaide University,
- Menzies School for Health Research, at Charles Darwin University
