Comm Unity Plus Services Ltd (operating as commUnity+) is a multidisciplinary organisation located predominantly across Melbourne’s western suburbs. We strive to enable positive change and growth for people through a range of prevention and early intervention programs including Community Education, Children’s Contact Services, Neighbourhood House, Legal Services (through Brimbank Melton Community Legal Centre) and community engagement and development activities.
The Pre-accredited Programs Coordinator is responsible for the planning, implementation, and evaluation of Adult Community and Further Education Board (ACFE) funded pre-accredited education and training programs. Pre-accredited programs are short modular courses which focus on creating pathways for learners to further education, training or employment.
The role will have responsibility for pre-accredited programs as a part time role of two days a week within commUnity+ and involves liaison with community members, education staff, and relevant stakeholders.
Key Selection Criteria
- Tertiary education in relevant discipline
- Minimum three (3) years Experience coordinating education and training programs, specifically short courses
- Demonstrated ability to independently manage time, prioritise, and plan work to meet set timelines in an environment with competing deadlines and priorities.
- Exceptional spoken and written communication skills with a focus on conflict resolution, diverse communities, and internal team collaboration.
- Effective negotiation skills to develop and maintain complex relationships.
- Sound understanding of adult and community education, including community development principles.
Supervisory experience of administrative and teaching staff operating in an educational context would be an added advantage. Additionally, Language, literacy, and numeracy focused qualifications and TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment would be advantageous.
