Project Officer – Adult Formation Team

About the Role
As an Adult Formation Project Officer, you will contribute to the core mission of helping adults encounter Jesus and grow in discipleship. You’ll be responsible for managing key projects, facilitating networks, and developing resources that deepen people’s faith and support community engagement. You’ll work closely with a dynamic team to deliver faith formation programs, retreats, and events.
Role Objectives
- Facilitate transformative encounters with Jesus Christ.
- Engage disciples in meaningful formation opportunities.
- Foster vibrant, Spirit-filled communities that support prayer and learning.
- Build and maintain Adult Formation networks across the Archdiocese.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage adult formation courses and events, including ACCF programs.
- Lead the creation of Advent and Lenten resources, and support Alpha and RCIA ministries.
- Contribute to retreats and prayer experiences that foster spiritual growth.
- Collaborate with leaders across the Archdiocese to build a connected, supportive network.
- Contribute to the development of small group resources and Daily Gospel Reflections.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A qualification in theology, education, or liberal arts.
- At least five years’ experience in adult formation or ministry.
- Strong project management and organisational skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A deep understanding of and commitment to the mission of the Catholic Church.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.
Desirable Qualities
- Experience in teaching, lecturing, or public speaking.
- Musical ability or design skills (e.g., Canva).
- A cooperative, enthusiastic team player with attention to detail.
