Position Information
East Hills Public School is a diverse and vibrant learning community located in a leafy pocket of South Western Sydney, on the fringe of the Georges River. There are 163 students currently enrolled in our school. Our families come from a diverse range of socio-economic backgrounds and our cultural demographic is key in driving a dynamic, stimulating and an inclusive learning environment for all.
Currently there are 6 mainstream classes and three support classes catering for students with a primary diagnosis of Autism. East Hills Public School prides itself on its high level of inclusivity and genuine care for the holistic wellbeing of all students.
Selection Criteria 1. Approval to teach special education and/or experience teaching students with additional needs, including students with Autism Spectrum Disorder. 2. Outstanding communication and organisational skills with the capacity and ability to work collaboratively and build effective partnerships with all stakeholders. 3. Demonstrated ability to plan, implement and evaluate student plans which reflect the needs of individual students. 4. Demonstrated excellence in planning and delivering high-quality,
data informed and evidence-based literacy and numeracy programs that positively impact the learning outcomes of all students, inclusive of those with individualised learning needs.
Conditions
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
