PRIMARY DETAIL
Work with a high performing IT team to provide support to users and resolve reported issues.
• From $70,536 to $76,022 (HEW Level 4), plus 17% employer's superannuation and annual leave loading.
• Full time, continuing role. Based at Wallumattagal campus, North Ryde.
• High performing team. Hybrid working arrangement.
THE ROLE
The IT Shared Services team is seeking for Technology Assistant to provide IT support and information to users to resolve reported issues, respond to standard service requests, install standard technology and tools, undertake routine administrative tasks and prepare summary reports.
Reporting to Manager, Technology Services, the role will:
- Provide support to users and resolve reported issues.
- Facilitate user access to end user devices, specialist equipment, technology systems, and infrastructure.
- Undertake standard set-up and maintenance activities for devices, equipment, systems, and infrastructure in line with service level expectations, and ensure compliance with MQ IT standards, escalating as appropriate.
- Maintain user documentation to support the correct and effective use of devices, equipment, systems and infrastructure.
- Maintain support documentation to assist the MQ IT service support organisation.
- Promote the relevant processes and procedures to use when logging incidents and requests.
About You
You will have good understanding of IT service management and security management concepts and experience in receiving and handling requests for IT support and providing information.
You will have good time management skills, ability to balance competing demands. You will also have good communication skills to be able to communicate effectively (both verbal and written) with clients and other business stakeholders.

- Relevant technical experience and/or equivalent education/training.
- High level of computer literacy with up-to-date knowledge of changes in software and hardware technologies.

- Ability to communicate effectively (both verbal and written) with clients and stakeholders.
- Identify relevant policies and procedures and apply them when responding to requests and resolving issues.
