Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Civil Designer with 3-5 years of experience to join our team in Ryde. The ideal candidate should have strong communication skills, a good understanding of Australian Standards and Austroads guidelines, and expertise in using Civil 3D, 12D, and AutoCAD software.

Responsibilities:

- Technical design and documentation utilising 12D, Civil 3D, and AutoCAD.
- Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team of engineers, designers, and BIM modellers.
- Provide accurate and efficient design/drafting services for various sized projects.
- Recognise and resolve potential design conflicts and difficulties identified during design.
- Ensure overall consistency, quality, technical accuracy, and design on projects.
- Provide technical input as per the scope of work to undertake designs in accordance with current technical standards, DA conditions, Council, and local authority requirements.
- Provide technical support and respond to RFIs during construction.




- Participate in meetings with clients and other consultants.
- Adhere to qualified standards, ethics, and quality procedures.

Requirements:

- An Associate Diploma in Civil Engineering, Bachelors or equivalent.
- Ideally, have a good technical design background in aspects of buildings and civil design including commercial, defence, industrial, educational, and healthcare sectors.
- Demonstrated civil design/drafting experience within a consulting environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Efficient time management and organisation skills.
- Thorough knowledge of relevant standards and legislation applicable to the region of operation.
- Ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team.
- Ability to prioritise workloads to meet deadlines.
