Overview

We are currently recruiting a Senior Systems Engineer to work for a globally renowned OEM specialising in freight and passenger rail solutions, covering signalling, rolling stock, aftermarket equipment and digital solutions.

This role is responsible for the ongoing delivery and development of the company’s suite of trackside sensors. Experience with IoT, software development or condition monitoring systems is highly desirable.

Location- Adelaide, SA – relocation packages available from interstate

Duration- Permanent

Salary- $140,000 - $145,000 + Super

Responsibilities

- Execute the systems engineering process including requirements analysis, design, integration, V&V;
- Develop system level test plans
- Lead discussions with customers to understand their requirements, to drive product improvements
- Work with cross-functional teams across mechanical, electrical, software engineering, production team to develop and improve products
- Lead analysis and definition of projects and ensure compliance with industry regulations




- Apply systems thinking, engineering and research throughout the project lifecycle to deliver the outcomes of the project
- Liaising with customer, production teams, support teams to come up with solutions / troubleshooting
- Produce engineering design reviews for software disciplines
- Support Product Managers with technical inputs to product road maps and current product initiatives
- Improve integration of newly developed technology into existing product portfolio

Required Experience

- Bachelor of Engineering, Computer Science, IT or similar
- Sound knowledge of System/Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
- Rail sector or Heavy Haul experience
- Project Engineering / Project Management experience highly desirable
- Working knowledge of software, mechanical systems and electrical systems
