About you
You are the consummate hotel professional, with the ability to switch from making children giggle to assisting guests get where they need to be without taking pause.
Your ability to ensure each guest feels welcome with your naturally bright and personable customer service style is what sets you apart from the rest. You are naturally a confident person who is able to approach people and initiate conversation, using their stories and your strong knowledge of the hotel and its surrounding area to deliver inspired service. You are able to manage your time well and can handle numerous tasks simultaneously while still being able to follow procedures and maintain a high awareness of security. You have an outcome driven approach to performance and results. You strive to achieve excellence in your field.
About the role
Some of the key responsibilities are:
- Leading the guest experience throughout their stay
- Proactively seeking feedback from guests and resolving any issues to a high satisfaction
- Coaching and supporting team members
- Ensuring safety and security standards are achieved in the hotel consistently
- Providing support across other departments as required
To achieve this you will require:
- Experience in Hotel Front Office as an Assistant/Duty Manager or Team Leader.
- Computer literate, and confident user of Opera or similar PMS and MS Suite.
- Current and valid First Aid and CPR Certificate or willing to undertake training.
- SA valid Responsible Service of Alcohol certification
- Current RP Badge (SA) or the ability to apply
- Full and clean SA driving license with the ability to drive both manual and automatic cars is desirable
- Availability to work varied shifts from early mornings to late evenings, including weekends and Public Holidays as per business demands
- Professional telephone manner
- Ability to think on your feet and anticipate guests needs
- Avid problem spotter and solver (you see it first and you do something about it!)
- Proven ability of working in a face paced environment
- Passion for people and providing exceptional service
- Well organized individual with a high attention to detail
- Previous experience in a Reservations environment is an advantage
