ABOUT THE ROLE:

Iconic Sydney restaurant group has a new position opening for an experienced Bar Manager to join the management team of this brand new coastal venue. The soon to open multi million dollar restaurant is stunning. It will be the jewel in the crown and promises to be a very busy and prominent venue. Work alongside industry leaders with a proven record of large format, premium casual dining. Highly competitive salary on offer for the right candidate.

The Role:

- New multi million dollar build due to open early July 2023 with 300 seats across multiple venue outlets including dining room, bar dining, PDR, and alfresco. Successful candidates will have an immediate start at one of the other company locations to understand current procedures and systems.
- Projected to do 800-1000 on its busiest days
- Prime coastal location
- Current wine list consisting of 84 bins managed by company sommelier




- Comprehensive wine knowledge highly regarded
- Responsible for putting together new cocktail list in line with company directive, with the potential to roll out across other sites.
- 7 day week operation 12pm - 10pm
- Weekend availability is essential, 5 days, 45hr week
- Sponsorship available for the right candidate

- Management of direct reports including ongoing training and development
- Responsible for all stock functions, recording deliveries and managing wine list in conjunction with company sommelier

About You:

- Minimum 3 years experience in a similar role with experience in large scale premium venues
- Extensive knowledge of wines and cocktails
- Be autonomous in creating the new cocktail list
- Deliver a premium level of service in a fast paced and busy venue whilst maintaining calm and composed under pressure.
- Comfortable in all aspects of reporting of daily operations and financials
- Strong team building and delegation skills, manage a small team of 7-8 on the roster, 4-5 per shift.
- Experience maintaining relationships with beverage companies
- Hold a current NSW RSA certificate
