However, you will start off working in the office.Key responsibilitiesPreparation of Financial Statements (and supporting workpaper) and tax returns for a variety of clients including individuals, sole traders, partnerships, and trustsPreparation of Business Activity StatementsPayroll preparation and STP reporting for clientsAttending to ASIC annual returns and other ASIC formsAttending to daily ATO mailOther duties as directedAbout youA completed degree in accounting or related field5+ years public practice and tax experience in AustraliaExcellent written and spoken communication skillsSound knowledge of MYOB is essentialExperience with MYOB Accountants Office/Accountants Enterprise (MYOB AO/AE)



is essential unless you are confident in switching to other practise management software without too much trainingExperience with BGL Straightforward Fund 360 + CAS 360 + Simple Invest preferred but not essentialA high level of proficiency in both spoken and written English is preferredSolid technical knowledge of accounting & taxationAbility to communicate clearly, confidently and professionally with clients, colleagues, the ATO and other organisations, as well as prepare accurate correspondence and documentationExperience with using Microsoft Office 365Broad range of clients and work, rather than being pigeon‐holed in one areaFlexible working hours around your day, you work the hours needed to complete the workAbout usWe're a small, established accounting firm that has been providing services for the past 25 years for clients all over Sydney.
