The Opportunities
SMS Geotechnical is seeking experienced
Senior Soil Technicians
for a variety of roles, including:
Adelaide metropolitan positions
Northern Territory opportunities
Port Lincoln
Whyalla
Annexe Laboratory positions
FIFO opportunities
Depending on the position, you will undertake a combination of




laboratory and field-based testing
, supporting major civil, mining and construction projects.
About You
To be successful, you will ideally have:
Current
Radiation Use Licence
and demonstrated experience operating a Portable Nuclear Density Gauge
Proven experience in laboratory and field testing of
soil and aggregate to Australian Standards
Current
South Australian Driver's Licence
and the ability to drive a manual vehicle
Current
Construction Industry White Card
Certificate IV or Diploma in Laboratory Techniques would be advantageous
Good communication and basic computer skills
A strong commitment to workplace health and safety
The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team
A reliable, hardworking and honest approach
The ability to follow instructions and work to established procedures
Willingness to work various shifts, including away and FIFO opportunities where required
Ability to work effectively in a physically demanding, field-based workplace
Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screening
