The Department of Communities Complaints Management Unit (CMU) and Reportable Conduct Team (RCT) are small, supportive teams that provide a unique prospect to utilise your child protection experience and expertise.
The Roles:
CMU respond to complaints about services provided by Communities and the role includes:
Assessing and lodging Tier One complaints for investigation by the District.
Undertaking Tier Two complaint investigations for matters not resolved at Tier One.
RCT ensures Communities meets the obligations of the Reportable Conduct Scheme in relation to allegations of harm to children by employees and carers and the role includes:
Assessing and notifying reportable allegations to the Ombudsman WA
Completing Reportable Conduct Investigation Reports based on Communities existing processes.

Qualification Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Social Work / Psychology / relevant human services area.
Overseas qualifications must be assessed for Australian equivalency.

Proven significant experience and skills in the assessment and investigation of high level, complex and sensitive child protection matters, including issues relating to the safety and wellbeing of children, children in care and family violence.
Highly developed oral, written and interpersonal communication skills, including high- level report writing and a demonstrated ability to manage stakeholder relationships within and external to the Department.
A copy of your degree certificate and academic transcript (plus unit descriptors and/or overseas qualification assessment if applicable).
A copy of all qualification/s (regardless of the relevance to the role) as specified in your application or resume/CV (if applicable).
