Job Description

We have recently restructured our Food & Beverage department, ensuring that we have a strong management team in order to support you in your role as Restaurant Manager. You will report directly to our Food & Beverage Manager and will cover our afternoon / evening restaurant service but may be required to cover breakfast service if and when required.

Ideally you will be a real people person with a big heart, who is a fantastic leader and leads by example. Someone who represents our friendly and professional 5-star service philosophy to create peak moments for our Guests and your fellow staff members at every opportunity. A proactive attitude that translates to a high-performance mind set and an outstanding attention to detail is also required. You will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic, award-winning team.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage the service of food and beverage within all food & beverage outlets.




- Management and guidance of all food and beverage staff members.
- Ensure cleaning and maintenance of outlets and other equipment used by the restaurant, bar and room service.
- Regular liaison with Maintenance ensuring maintenance requests are completed quickly.
- Coordinate between the relevant departments to ensure that preparations for conferences have been made.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly restaurant / bar reports, commenting on key performance indicators and action taken to keep on target.
- Attend and actively participate in weekly Food and Beverage meetings.
- Prepare weekly and monthly forecasts to enable accurate rosters.
- Ensure constant liaison with the Conference, Wedding & Events team and attend weekly BEO meetings.
- Be knowledgeable of and operate within appropriate outlet and resort liquor licensing guidelines.

Qualifications

- Previous managerial experience in a hospitality environment.
- Strong food and beverage knowledge.
- Proven leadership skills and the ability to train others in a supportive and motivating way.
- Excellent communication skills and a strong attention to detail.
- Sound computer skills.
- An understanding of the region, our competitors and suppliers.
- A passion for customer service along with a strong desire to achieve goals and targets.
- Desire to further develop your career in the hospitality industry.
- Flexibility with regards to shifts and ability to work rotating rosters including evenings and weekends.
