Job Description
Ready for a sizzling career move? You will play a pivotal role in our kitchen, working alongside a fantastic team. The food you prepare, cook and serve leaves our guests wanting more.
What you will be doing:
- Hands on supervision of the restaurant, to ensure a high-quality product is produced consistently
- Ensure the highest possible standard of hygiene is practiced and maintained to meet Health & Safety regulations
- Actively share ideas, opinions and suggestions to improve the kitchen workplace and menus
- Maintain food costs at budgeted levels by careful preparation, service and storage of food product
- Communicate effectively with the rest of the team and thrive for guest feedback
Qualifications
Your experience and skills include:
- Formal
qualifications
in Commercial Cookery
- Strong experience in high end À la carte dining
- A confident and creative cooking style, with a strong emphasis on quality and presentation
- Experience leading and motivating a team with a focus on performance & productivity, positive culture and development
- Strong time management skills, impeccable attention to detail and the ability to work well under pressure
- Well versed in food, safety and hygiene legislation
- Availability to work across a 7-day roster including weekends, late evenings and public holidays
