- Remuneration: $31.53421 - $32.57210 per hour,
- Permanent Full Time on a 24/7 rotating roster

We are looking for an enthusiastic administrator to join our diverse, compassionate and dedicated team to provide effective and efficient administrative support and customer service in a busy health care setting. Our Administration Officer plays a key role in liaising with staff, clients and their families and ensuring the delivery of exemplary customer service.

The Administration Officer is responsible for the provision of effective administrative support for all areas within Patient Services as required and rostered on a 7 day per week 24 hour roster in Emergency Reception, Information Desk, Urgent Admission, Elective Bookings and Switchboard roles. This position will have a main focus of working in the hospital 24/7 switchboard, however training will be provided in additional roles across ED Administration to provide relief for meal cover or short notice shift cover.

This role will include shift work and full availability is required.

Key Responsibilities





- Perform Switchboard duties as per the Telephonist position description and following all guidelines and internal procedures
- Demonstrate sound judgement in decision making and follow guidelines strictly.
- In non-routine situations where guidelines are not applicable/relevant, the ability to determine whether to an effective decision can be made or if the matter needs to be referred to the Patient Services Manager
- Reception of patients, visitors and staff using a friendly and professional manner at all times
- Be an innovative part of the team however accepting the need for repetitive processing and accuracy linked particularly to systems requirements

- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to work both within a team environment and autonomously
- Demonstrated ability to work proficiently at all times and particularly in periods of high demand and activity
- A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission based organisation
