We are currently seeking enthusiastic Allied Health Assistants to join our teams at Dorset Rehabilitation Centre (Pascoe Vale) & North Eastern Rehabilitation Centre (Ivanhoe) on a casual basis. Shifts are offered across our weekday and weekend services.
Do you have a commitment to teamwork and excellence in customer service delivery? Do you want to provide clinical and administrative assistance to Allied Health Professionals to ensure the delivery of a high-quality rehabilitation service? If so, we want to hear from you!
As an Allied Health Assistant your responsibilities will include:
Supporting members of the Allied Health team to provide a high standard of customer service and clinical care to patients/families
Working under the direction and supervision of physiotherapists, occupational therapists, dietitians and speech pathologists to help patients achieve their rehabilitation goals
Healthscope’s 'Victorian Rehabilitation Hospitals' encompass three rehabilitation facilities located across the Melbourne Metropolitan region: Dorset Rehabilitation Centre (Pascoe Vale), North Eastern Rehabilitation Centre (Ivanhoe) and The Victorian Rehabilitation Centre (Glen Waverley). Our programmes have a reputation for high quality and patient-focused care, across a range of rehabilitation specialties.
Our sites offer a friendly and supportive staff environment, with our established multidisciplinary teams servicing both inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation programs.
Selection Criteria:
Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance desirable
Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to prioritise workload, meet deadlines, manage time effectively and complete activities
Demonstrated effective interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
Experience working with or providing care to people in a health care setting and/or a basic understanding of therapy programs
