This is an exciting career opportunity to work as an Assistant in Nursing (AIN) as part of our dynamic perioperative nursing team at Nepean Private Hospital on a Casual Basis.
You will work in partnership with support networks and a multidisciplinary team, to ensure excellent clinical outcomes and an industry leading patient experience.
We are seeking motivated, cutting-edge nursing students committed to excellence in customer service and quality improvement to work with our team and ensure our perioperative services are providing the highest quality care.
About Us
Nepean Private Hospital is located in the multi-cultural Western Sydney City of Penrith. The hospital is a modern 109 bed facility providing a wide range of health services to the local community since 2000 including: orthopaedics, spinal, gynaecology, ENT, plastics, urology and general surgery, endoscopy, cardiology, cardiac angiography and obstetrics. Nepean Private Hospital has eight operating Theatres, one hybrid/cardiac catheterisation theatre and an endoscopy suite, supported by a critical care unit which includes intensive care.

Nepean Private Operating Theatres are currently undergoing a state of the art redevelopment, offering training in cutting edge technology and ongoing education across all our surgical specialties. Nepean Private Hospital offers a wide variety surgical specialties including, Obstetrics, Orthopaedics, Neurology, Cardiac services, Bariatric, General, ENT, Urology, Gynaecology, Paediatric, Plastics and Ophthalmology.
As an Assistant in Nursing (AIN) your responsibilities will include:
Assist nurses or hospital staff in carrying out patient care duties
Assist with Theatre Set-ups and Cleaning as directed
Work as part of the health care team; practice in accordance with state legislation and within the designated scope of practice parameters
Answering patient/visitor/customer enquiries
Essential Criteria:
Excellent customer service skills
Demonstrated, effective written, verbal communication
Excellent ability to plan and prioritise work
Flexibility to manage shift work (including, day & night shifts) over 7 days
Desirable Criteria
Current 2nd or 3rd year Bachelor of Nursing student
