Knox Private Hospital is looking for an Associate Nurse Unit Manager to work across our 33 bed Orthopaedic, Neurosurgical and Medical Ward on a part time basis. This role will see you working of a rotational roster including night duty with the potential for permeant night shifts.

About us

Located in Wantirna, Knox Private Hospital is a 295 bed, fully accredited tertiary facility providing Emergency Services, Extensive Surgical Specialities, 20 bed ICU/CCU, Medical, and a full range of Cardiac Services including two 24-hour Cardiac Catheter Laboratories.

Our theatre complex has recently grown to 15 theatres including a Day Procedure Centre, Hybrid Theatre and supports a range of acute specialties including General, Endoscopy, Colorectal, Bariatric & Liver surgery, advanced laparoscopic procedures, Cardiac, Neuro, Orthopaedic, Plastic & Reconstructive surgery, Gynaecology, Urology, Vascular, ENT & Paediatric surgery.

Position Responsibilities

- Facilitate a learning culture to ensure continuous improvement
- Maintain professional and constructive working relationships with our VMO partners, using a customer service mindset,



to enable high quality patient outcomes.
- Provide clinical operational direction for the unit to ensure efficient and effective management by coordinating the delivery of nursing care that is evidence based.
- Be accountable and responsible for the effective daily management of human, financial and material resources
- Coordinate and drive clinical audits and quality improvement initiatives
- Undertaking direct patient care, as required

Selection Criteria:

- Current Registration with AHPRA
- Working with Children check
- 3+ years orthopaedic, neurology or surgical experience
- Must be able to work rotational night nights
- Current or previous ANUM, shift manager or clinical nurse specialist experience (desirable)
- Post graduate Degree in relevant specialty area
- Sound clinical knowledge
- Compliance with ACQSHC National standards
- Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills
- Positive role modelling behaviours
- Excellent customer service focus, time management and prioritisation
- Ability to manage a dynamic and changing environment
- High degree of computer literacy including MS office and various data bases

If you are successful, you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant nursing experience against the current nursing Enterprise Agreement the "Healthscope - Victoria - Nurses and Midwives Agreement 2016-2020" ($51.77 - $53.51 per hour).
