About The Role

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced full-time Business Development Manager to work across two hospitals - Campbelltown Private Hospital and Sydney Southwest Private Hospital

The Business Development Manager will work collaboratively with the General Managers and hospital leadership teams & will be supported by the National Business Development and Marketing teams to develop and implement a targeted growth plan for the Hospitals and their specialists.

The successful candidate will work to identify opportunities and generate leads for specialist recruitment, establish business partnerships with VMOs to grow the hospitals services and be the conduit between new and existing specialists and acute referral sources.

Whilst predominantly working with specialists, you will contribute to the development of engaging marketing initiatives and materials for distribution to referral sources including General Practitioners (GPs). You will organise specialist and GP events including CPD evenings with support from our national CPD team.

Campbelltown Private Hospital is a leading healthcare facility that specializes in acute surgical, medical and rehabilitation services and is one of Sydney's leading private hospitals.

Located in the rapidly developing South West corridor in Sydney, Campbelltown and within the South West Sydney Local Health District including Liverpool, Campbelltown and Camden public Hospitals. Campbelltown Private is operated by Healthscope, a leading provider of private healthcare in Australia.

The hospital has 82 beds (rehabilitation, surgical including a 10 bed HDU) and 8 theatres (main theatres incl. robotics and endoscopy theatres).

About Sydney Southwest Private Hospital

Sydney Southwest Private Hospital is a 98 bed hospital owned by Healthscope Limited, Australia’s premier private hospital operator. We are situated in the heart of Liverpool and provide Obstetrics, ICU, Mental Health, Medical Oncology, and Surgical Services.

The surgical specialties within our 7 room operating suites include but not limited to Orthopaedics, ENT, Urology, General Surgeries, Bariatric,



Gynaecology and Neurosurgery.

As a Business Development Manager Your Responsibilities Will Include

- Develop an effective annual business growth plan for delivering growth in key specialties and achievement of revenue targets
- Identify new VMO opportunities and establish business partnerships between targeted VMOs and Healthscope
- Introduce specialists to targeted GPs for building referral networks
- Maintain accurate records in CRM of business development pipeline and business development progress with key VMOs
- Use provided data sources to identify strategic service growth opportunities
- Use data and area knowledge to target General Practitioners for referral generation to hospital services and key specialists
- Work with the executive team to grow current specialty streams and explore and support delivery of innovative new product and service opportunities
- Contribute to marketing initiative development and implementation locally and across key clinical streams in partnership with the national marketing team
- Provide an exceptional VMO experience across the VMO lifecycle (recruit-exit) by partnering with leaders across Healthscope to implement the ‘VMO playbook’ at all sites, overseeing the measurement of the VMO experience.

Selection Criteria

- Robust understanding of private healthcare and health service delivery
- Business Development, Account Management or Sales experience in healthcare
- A Proven ability in dealing with medical specialists and successful relationship building
- Demonstrable knowledge in strategic and operational planning
- Able to use data and undertake base analysis in order to segment and target key stakeholders
- Ability to identify, develop, implement and promote new services
- High level interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong customer service skills
- Excellent time management and prioritization skills
- Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary workplace
- Ability to manage a dynamic and changing environment
- Demonstrated experience working in a self-directed environment.

Selection Criteria - Desirable

- Appropriate tertiary qualifications in health,



business or marketing
- Experience within Private Healthcare, preferably hospitals
- Experience with data analysis for decision making
