About your opportunity

Charters Towers Rehabilitation Unit are currently seeking a Clinical Nurse Consultant, Permanent full time, 76 hours p.f.

This role is about coordinating and supervising the care of all consumers provided by members of both the nursing and the multidisciplinary team. The purpose of this role is to provide clinical expertise, education, leadership and support to nursing staff

Charters Towers Rehabilitation Unit (CTRU) is a 27 bed residential facility offering extended care, rehabilitation, and dual disability treatment for people who have long term residual and complex mental health needs. CTRU can offer care and treatment to residents accommodated in the main building in two care units, progressing to more independent living in cluster and single units situated in the surrounding gardens. The facility is engaged in an integration program that is designed to prepare residents for community re-integration and ongoing long-term 24-hour care.

Generous remuneration package value up to $147,834 p.a. comprising:





- Salary range of $118,993 to $129,189 p.a. (NG7)
- Annual leave with 17.5% loading
- 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation.

Requirements

- It is a mandatory requirement to be and to remain vaccinated against COVID-19.
- Bachelor of Nursing or Bachelor of Midwifery or equivalent is a mandatory qualification for this position.
- Proof of qualification, registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and possession of a current practising certificate.
- This position requires the incumbent to operate a class C motor vehicle and an appropriate license endorsement to operate this vehicle is required. Proof of this endorsement must be provided prior to the commencement of duty.
- This is a Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD) risk role: Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, and Pertussis.
- 6 month probation period.
- Pre-employment checks will be conducted.
