An exciting opportunity exists for a Clinical Coder to join our growing Health Information Services team.

As a Clinical Coder your responsibilities will include:
Providing accurate, quality clinical coding
Assisting with billing and health fund queries
Assisting with coding / health fund audits
Provision of timely and accurate clinical coding data using ICD-10-AM (12thEdition)
Participating in performance improvement activities
Essential requirements:
Bachelor of HIM or the completion of HIMAA Intermediate/Advanced ICD-10-AM coding course
Up-to-date knowledge, experience and practice using ICD-10-AM (12thedition)
Ability to work in a small team environment
Minimum of 2 years clinical coding experience
Experience in a variety of casemix - cardiology, cardiothoracics and orthopaedics would be highly regarded
Desirable Requirements:
Experience with the webPAS patient information system
Experience using 3M Codefinder
Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite e.g. Excel
Coding experience in a Private Health Care setting
Knowledge of private health fund contracts
