About the role
The Gold Coast Private Hospital is seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse to join our Orthopaedics team on a part time basis. You will play a key role within a supportive team in ensuring high levels of patient care is provided.

Our surgical ward boasts an interesting case mix across various specialities, including surgical orthopaedics.
As a Clinical Nurse for the surgical orthopaedics specialty your responsibilities will include:
Support the nursing team with planning, assessment, implementation and evaluation of excellent standard of evidence based, person centred
Demonstrate professional practice as evidence by adhering to AHPRA professional standards, code of ethics and conduct,
legislative requirements and Healthscope's polices and processes
Foster a learning setting through clinical presentations to support the nursing team with their professional development and maintaining own professional learning and continuous professional development and providing supervision and teaching to peers, ENs, graduates and students
Act as a valued member of the inter-disciplinary team to provide exceptional patient care by actively contributing to team processes and practices
Collaborate with external partners to ensure patients receive a high quality of care across the health care continuum
Maintain professional and constructive working relationships with our VMO partners, using a customer service mindset, to enable high quality patient outcomes
Essential Criteria:
Current AHPRA registration
Previous experience in an acute surgical environment
Senior clinical nursing experience
1-year minimum team leader or in-charge nursing experience (desirable)
Compliance with ACQSHC National standards
Demonstrate the ability to show initiative and work within a team environment
Excellent communication skills
Passion for teaching, educating and up-skilling staff
