About your opportunity
Clinical Research Coordinator / Up to 31-12-2024 / 40 hours p.f.

The Clinical Research Coordinator position at Child and Youth Mental Health Services is a cutting-edge position that combines clinical experience with cutting-edge research to design and offer training, establish professional networks, and develop clinical instruments that can be utilised to enhance practise in child and adolescent services.

The Clinician will support a network of Medical Specialists, including Paediatricians, Psychiatrists, and Mental health Physicians, by utilising their advanced knowledge and abilities in child and adolescent mental health.

Generous pro rata remuneration package (based on full-time equivalent value) up to $141,250 p.a. comprising:

- Salary range of $58.02 to $62.43 p.h. (HP4)
- Annual leave with 17.5% loading
- 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation.

Requirements

- It is a mandatory requirement to be and to remain vaccinated against COVID-19.
- For Occupational Therapy the successful applicant must hold a tertiary degree (or equivalent) qualification from an accredited tertiary institution in Occupational Therapy. Registration with the Occupational Therapist Board Australia (AHPRA) is required.
- For Psychology the successful applicant must possess a four-year degree in Psychology (Honours, Graduate Diploma) from an accredited tertiary institution. Registration with the Psychology Board of Australia is required. Possession of a Masters or Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from an accredited tertiary institution, or significant progress towards this, would be highly regarded.
- For Social Wor k the successful applicant must hold at least a tertiary degree (or equivalent) qualification from an accredited tertiary institution in Social Work as well as eligibility for full membership to the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).
- While not mandatory, status an AASW accredited Mental Health Social Worker is highly desirable.





- For Speech Pathology possession of a tertiary degree in Speech Pathology and current registration with the Speech Pathology registration Board of Queensland is required. Potential applicants are advised that the Commission for Children and Young People Act 2000 (QLD) requires Queensland Health to seek a ‘working with children check' from the Commission for Children and Young People prior to appointment to this position.
- Proof of qualification and registration or membership (if applicable) with the appropriate registration authority or association.
- Blue Card Checks: Potential applicants are advised that the Commission for Children and Young People and Child Guardian Act 2000 requires Queensland Health to seek a ‘working with children check' from the Commission for Children and Young People and Child Guardian.
- This is a Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD) risk role: Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, and Pertussis.
