About the role

South West Healthcare (SWH) is seeking an experienced Emergency Medicine Physician to provide clinical leadership and management in our high quality emergency clinical services.

This role is responsible for ensuring medical staff of the emergency department show professionalism at all times and model SWH's values. The Emergency Medicine Physician will work closely with the Emergency Medicine Clinical Director to monitor the activity and budget of the Department and also assist to plan, develop and implement coordinated clinical services.

A key part of this role will be assisting the Clinical Director in providing an appropriate teaching program and to ensure the supervision of clinical practice and training of undergraduates and post graduates in the emergency department.

This is a permanent full time position.

The successful applicant will have a broad experience in the field of Emergency Medicine and hold suitable qualifications as a medical practitioner registered with AHPRA,



be a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Emergency Physicians and hold a current registration with the Medical Practitioners Board of Australia. Strong effective communication, conflict management and team building skills are essential to this role, as this will have a positive attitude to towards training of junior medical staff.

The successful applicant will have proficient leadership, organisational and interpersonal skills, as well as developed written and verbal communication skills. Knowledge in SWH's performance indicators and expectations are desirable.
