Moyne Health Services in Port Fairy has an exciting opportunity for an experienced, passionate person to join our Residential Aged Care team as a Leisure & Lifestyle Coordinator. This role is ongoing full time, with the provision of 13 monthly accrued days off annually.
About the Role
The Leisure and Lifestyle Coordinator will lead MHS' team of Leisure and Lifestyle Assistants, ensuring the Aged Care Standards principles are integrated into the Leisure and Lifestyle portfolio, whilst working as part of a wider multidisciplinary team.
The Leisure and Lifestyle Coordinator will work towards ensuring a high level of inclusivity, diversity and person centred architect is woven into the care delivered to the consumers whilst ensuring the consumers' needs are met.
About You
To be successful in this role you must meet the following criteria:
- Certificate IV Lifestyle and Health or equivalent
- Certificate in Food Handling
- Substantial, broad experience in delivering well developed and diverse lifestyle programs to consumers in aged care
- Ability to coordinate a team to deliver both group activities and one on one support to individual consumers
- Ability to lead a team of Lifestyle staff to achieve positive outcomes for consumers living in Moyneyana and Belfast House
- Knowledge of the wellness and re-ablement approach to aged care with regard to goal setting and care planning.
- Understanding and application of the Aged Care Quality Standards; quality systems and continuous improvement models
- Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills
- Computer literacy
