About the Role
Surfcoast Medical Centre are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced GP Medical Receptionist to join their welcoming and professional team on a part-time basis (2 days per week) with flexibility to cover additional shifts, including Saturdays. This is a fantastic chance to work with a dedicated team, make a meaningful difference in patient care, and enjoy the incredible lifestyle that the Surf Coast offers.

Your Role Will Include:

- Greeting and making clients feel welcome from the moment they step through the door.
- Scheduling appointments and handling basic triage.
- Maintaining and organising patient medical files, including recent registrations.
- Processing billings, payments, and managing online claims and banking.
- Managing general administration tasks such as mail, scanning, and faxing.
- Communicating effectively with doctors, nurses, and the wider practice team.

What We’re Looking For in You:

Essential:

- Medical reception experience in a GP clinic (unfortunately, we cannot consider applicants without prior experience).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and practice management software.
- Understanding of MBS item numbers.

Preferred:

- Familiarity with Best Practice software and HotDoc online booking system.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
