Medical Receptionist - Releaf Fortitude Valley & Releaf West End

Reporting to the Practice Manager, this is a fantastic opportunity for a highly motivated and proactive individual to join a growing team with career development opportunities.

As a Medical Receptionist at Releaf Clinics, you will be the first point of contact for our patients. You will be responsible for:

- Welcoming and engaging patients in person and over the phone
- Answering phone calls promptly and courteously, and transferring them to the practice manager, doctor rooms, or Releaf dispensary
- Scheduling, confirming, rescheduling, and cancelling patient appointments using Helix (Medical Director), or other software platforms according to doctor availability and patient preferences
- Providing information to new and current patients about our services, fees, policies, and procedures




- Taking messages and relaying them to the relevant staff member or doctor
- Updating patient records and accounts with accurate and current information
- Processing payments and billing over the phone or in clinic
- Handling phone inquiries or emergencies in a calm and professional manner
- Collaborating with other receptionists and staff members to ensure smooth operations and patient satisfaction

To be successful in this role, you will need:

- At least one year of experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a sales focused role
- A robust work ethic, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills
- The ability to work under pressure, prioritise tasks, and multitask effectively
- The ability to work well in a team and independently
- A willingness to learn and grow with the company
- Experience working with medical software, such as Best Practice, Medical Director, or Genie
- Knowledge of Medicare, private health funds, and bulk billing procedures
